Whistler Winter

Ski Instructor 2017

sunny 22 °C

Hey everyone,
Its been a while. Sorry. I will be posting more often from now on. (Watch this space).
This is what I have been up to in the last year.
I arrived in Whistler for yet another winter (4 winters in a row!!! YEWWW). I was teaching a program called adventure camp where we get the same kids for the full week. I had so much fun in winter. 900 hours of teaching kids from beginners to experts. The kids where 5-12 years old and yew can some of these kiddys ski. WOW so impressed by the local Whistler Kids. also had a second job but only lasted two weeks. haha Christmas/ New Year is crazy. So busy. we had over 300 kids in one week!!! Opening day here in Whistler is crazy (people camp out). lots of snow. lots of skiing and lots of powder.!! just a great time. I may be apply for PR. but I will post more about that next time.
And so I have happen to meet a little dutch girl called Marlissa who is also a ski instructor haha!!. she torn her ACL an meniscus which means surgery :/ so no skiing for her since Jan so out for the whole season, poor girl. at least she got it all covered with work!!!.. :) we even got a free cab from vancouver (300$$) :O .

Now we both are staying for summer. I thought I had a fun bike coach job with WORCA but they turned me down at the last minute :/ so now i am just bay sitting full time. so much fun, i look after the same kids often once a week. (right now). sitting on the couch doing NOTHING.
Managed to go to the island for three days in summer. was super nice and hit up a few little water falls all ready. check out my instagram account too. alexskiinstructor . i do need to change the name :/ haha...... first summer in 2-3 years is actually fun!! but i do miss skiing so much...

Thank you for reading. I will post another blog to catch up shortly!!!.

Alex
